WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be determined by a Sponsor representative based on the leaderboard for this Contest shortly after Oct. 23, 2024, 11 p.m. UTC, determined by the scoring system outlined in Section 6. Any ties will be broken with random number generation. Potential winners will be notified via MUT.GG direct messages within approximately five (5) business days of the end of the Contest Period. The failure to respond timely to the notification may result in forfeiture of the prize. If a prize goes unclaimed or a potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines the prize for any reason prior to award, such potential winner will be disqualified, and an alternate potential winner may be selected, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Potential winners may be required to verify their address and to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and (where imposing such condition is legal) a publicity release (collectively, the “Prize Claim Documents”) covering eligibility, liability, advertising, and publicity issues. The prize will not be awarded until all such properly executed Prize Claim Documents are returned. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone not fully complying with the Official Rules. Each winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the redemption of a prize. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES, AND ANY OTHER COSTS AND EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF THE PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH WINNER.

6. SCORING: Each entry will be scored by the following system:

  • Predicting the correct winner of a tournament match is worth 2,000 points.
  • Predicting the correct winning margin of a tournament match is worth up to 100 points. The point value is determined by calculating the difference between the predicted winning margin and the actual winning margin, multiplying that value by 10, and subtracting that value from 100. A negative result is treated as 0.
  • Predicting the correct score of the match, regardless of winner, is worth up to 100 points. The point value is determined by calculating the difference between the predicted winning score and the actual winning score, multiplying that value by 5, and subtracting that value from 50. A negative result is treated as 0. The process is repeated in the same manner for the losing score. The point value results for both the winning score and losing score are then added together.
  • Matches in each round beyond the first receive a multiplicative bonus to the total points earned for that match. Round 2 matches receive a 10% bonus, Round 3 matches receive a 20% bonus, etc. The number of points earned for a given match are increased by the round's percentage. Any fractional points after a bonus is applied are truncated before being factored into the bracket's total score.
  • An entry's total score is the sum of the points awarded for each of its match predictions.

7. PRIZES: 25 TOTAL PRIZE(S) WILL BE AWARDED “AS IS” WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY SPONSOR. All prize details are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prize winners cannot assign or transfer a prize to another person. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsor, a substitute prize of equal or greater retail value may be awarded. The value of the prize represents Sponsor’s good faith determination of the maximum retail value thereof. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. The ARV of any prize is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed. Each winner will be solely responsible for all federal, state, and/or local taxes, if applicable, and for any other fees or costs associated with the prize they receive. Other restrictions may apply. If the prize is awarded but goes unclaimed or is forfeited by the recipient, the prize may not be re-awarded, at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

The exact prize structure is clearly outlined at www.mut.gg/bracket.
