How do I stop corner routes?
Corner routes can be frustrating for newer players to defend. Since there are corner routes that attack at different depths, there is no single adjustment that will take care of them all. You’ll need to use a combination of zone drops and player alignment/positioning. We made a video with Drini explaining how he adjusts to take away corner routes at various depths here:

What playbooks should I use in Madden?
Which playbook you're using becomes much more important when you are looking to run a specific scheme in Madden. For instance, if you're using coach suggestions to call your plays, the playbook you're in is much less important. The same thing applies to someone who is just picking random plays throughout their playbooks. Yes, there are "tendencies" within a given playbook, but playbook choice is much more important when you are looking to master a specific scheme (formation/set of formations). When you get to that point, you'll want to look at which playbooks offer you the best plays in those given formations you are wanting to run.
Each year there are "META playbooks" which typically offer the best combination of META plays and formations for you to choose from. If the META meets your play style, think about looking into those playbooks each year as well.
Should I be on match or default for my zones?
The best advice for deciding whether to be on match or default for your zones is simply dependent on if you understand how match works or not.
Match coverage is a "pattern matching" zone coverage that will convert certain defenders to man coverage based on the formation/route combinations of your opponent.
If you don't understand how match coverage works, it can be very confusing and lead to you struggling on defense because you won't know the area of the field that is vulnerable in a given play. Whereas on default, your players are simply going to drop to the spot shown on the field.
