I am newer to Madden and am simply very confused about who is on the field for the different nickel formations. Seems like my backups are in too often, so was wondering the easiest way to figure out who will be on the field. I am running the Ravens defensive playbook btw.

its basically the same as a basic 4-3 except there is a sublb instead of one of your starting lbs

In nickel over/standard 4-2 set:
u will have
3 corners
2 safeties
2 edge rushers
2 dts
2 middle Linebackers/sub linebackers

Whatever 4 you want on your Dline you need to have in the specialists tab. These have to be filled ou t( RE, LE and 2 DTs) They all have to be unique players. Can not have Sam Adams at DT1 and RE for example
your slot corner is the guy you want in the "slot" and has to be unique from the CB1 and Cb2 slot otherwise your next highest ovr corner will fill.
your Sublb 1 and 2 have to again be unique and can not be a starting Strong safety.
