Pick artist vs Acrobat

Is pick artist a better ability to have than acrobat?

No. Acrobat gets the great diving animations to get picks that would never happen otherwise, while pick artists just helps you once you get the pick, not getting it in the first place.

Ok, I have acrobat right now on all my DB and safeties but it seems like they never dive for picks.  But when I play other opponents they just dive over and thru eevrything with their AI's.  They dive over my receivers when I throw low balls, they dove on my slants, etc.  Is there something im supposed to press other than user'ing the defenders.

I'm pretty sure if you either just switch on or j press/hold Y it prompts the defender to initiate the diving animation. Most of it is up to madden though so you just have to hope you get a good animation.

Acrobat. I’ve been running that on my D-backs since it was introduced to the game/we could add it to more than just 3 defenders after Madden 20 when only 3 players on each side of ball could be activated.

I've run both for majority of the year and you want acrobat.  Pick artist helps on DB who have low catching stats like full Taylor Mays but you want the RNG of acrobat.  There is nothing you can do to trigger the animations yourself.  You mentioned that why are opponents get their abilities to proc and it defiantly has to do with you low pointing a pass on man.  Your receiver will slow up on precision passes and the acrobat will more then likely proc on this scenario.  Avoid that scenario if you can make a presnap read and are familiar with the abilities and where they are on the field.

I do something that I think is pretty underrated. I run acrobat on my user and pick artist on all of my other DBs. This way, I save AP on all of my other DBs, while still getting those insane diving animations with my user. Personally, I never really got crazy animations with acrobat outside of my user, so in my opinion this is the perfect solution.
