This is already a bit stale (from last week), but haven't seen very many folks discussing it: https://gamerant.com/madden-nfl-24-make-or-break-report/
Allegedly, the jobs of middle management at EA might be on the line if they don't have an improved game delivered late this summer. Doesn't really mean all that much to any of us, but seems the studio is focusing on the single-player and offline experience. I am confident there's a TON of things that could be implemented fairly easily to improve the overall gameplay experience, especially for new players -- it was overwhelming for me to try and ease back into the game after ~twenty years away from the Madden franchise.
I'm not overly optimistic about their chances, because I fully expect EA to continue to prioritize the gambling aspects more so than trying to deliver a more polished and accessible product. I've been let down over and over and over with their handling of the entire Star Wars franchise, i see no reason why this would be any different. Let's discuss!
