Hey Madden fans,

Today we’ll be sharing an Ability Point (AP) Update coming tomorrow, February 23rd to Madden Ultimate Team. Thank you all for your feedback as it’s always a driving force for these AP Updates.

The main theme of this update is to encourage new combinations of abilities on both sides of the ball and allow more Abilities on defense. We are planning on more AP Updates in the future and we'll continue to monitor feedback.

AP LIMIT UPDATE

  • Defense AP Limit increased to 18 AP
  • No change to Offense AP Limit

OFFENSE AP UPDATE

  • Escape Artist:

    • +5 AP to all QB Archetypes

  • Edge Protector:

    • +1 AP to all Offensive Line Archetypes

DEFENSE AP UPDATE

Linebackers:

  • Pick Artist:

    • Now 1 AP for all LB Archetypes

  • Lurker:

    • -1 AP to Run Stopper MLB/OLB

  • Enforcer:

    • -1 AP to all LB Archetypes

  • Tackle Supreme:

    • -1 AP to Power/Speed Rusher OLB Archetypes

  • Deep In Zone KO:

    • -1 AP to Field General MLB Archetypes

  • Inside Stuff:

    • -1 AP to Pass Coverage MLB/OLB

    • -1 AP to Power Rusher OLB

    • -1 AP to Speed Rusher OLB

    • -1 AP to Run Stopper OLB

  • Secure Tackler:

    • -1 AP to Speed Rusher OLB Archetype

    • -1 AP to Power Rusher OLB Archetype

Defensive Line:

Enforcer:

  • -2 AP for all DT/DE Archetypes

Defensive Rally:

  • -1 AP to Speed Rusher DE/DT Archetype
  • -1 AP to Power Rusher DE/DT Archetype

Goal Line Stuff:

  • -1 AP to all DE/DT Archetypes

Inside Stuff:

  • -1 AP to Run Stopper DE
  • -1 AP to Speed Rusher DE/DT

So you can now run 4 one step aheads and still have AP left over.  Or just run three on your CBs and then use DL abilities.  Man defense meta incoming....  Run Offense meta incoming.....

What about ALL DB abilities?Is Acrobat still going to be 2 ap?
