Im crazy run heavy every year like 70/30 run pass this is my first year playing on the new gen madden and the physics are so different now that weight actually seems to matter that being said i assumed this would make trucking backs who i usually use even better this year i run mostly dive plays or plays that go north south and im just not seeing anything good from trucking backs they dont seem to pick up more yards but have the disadvantage of being not shifty idc about how they are in pass game but should i be looking at a elusive fast back? what are you guys seeing?
Yeah elusive sees the best results this year
whatever rb that has good acc
85 Chase Edmonds is all you need

damn i have 87 ovr bettis but havent seen any results i might have to sell him to get a cheaper back this game is nuts every year tryin to figure out the new dynamic.
I wouldn't sleep on receiving back as Hines is easily the best I've ever tried personally.
Elusive backs/backs with good accel (Chase Edmonds is my current RB and he has been the best I've used all year thus far)

Edmonds is definitely legit. I still thought about trying him out because like Hines, he fits what I like to do. Gives an elusive type at the cost of 6 catching in comparison. I might try him out since he would save me some coins.
I'm stuck on dual threat . I like having 2 running backs 1 elusive and 1 power.

Yeah this 100%
i tried bo jackson, liked him, but he is too expensive. i like the free swift card we got, and my favorite rb so far is chase edmonds for Ultimate Kickoff.
I Decided to exclusively use the Frank Gore captain. He is built as a power back, so much so that when the game first released the highest he could be upgraded to was 85 and his speed was at 79. At the time most of the better runningbacks had at least 81 speed. Gore would get caught all the time. Even now he gets caught by the defense extremely easily. Because EA disrespected Gore in this way i decided i want to exclusively use him and beat his real life career numbers with him. I put on Reach for It and upgraded him as much as i could as soon as i could. He doesn't exactly truck people, but with reach for it he does seem to break a lot more tackles and kinda just stumble forward for more yards when he gets stacked up at the line. I'm sure i have frustrated many people who thought they had me going for a loss when i end up falling forward for a a 4-8 yard gain. I have had long gains with gore and started running the ravens playbook to add in option plays. This really helps the run game. I think if you strategize enough between inside and outside runs you can disguise your intentions and get more use out of your powerbacks. However, i will say that in a gang situation power backs fall way short. They go down fast when they are crowded. If you get them 1 on 1 they can break tackles decently, but the juking is so effective this year that using a fast agile runningback is the best way to go for big plays. Power backs require more strategy and so it all comes down to the way you like to play.
BO is the best type, dude does everything for me rn
I'm still using Cordarrle Patterson his 80 ovr is awesome.
