Black screen after completing solo

I keep getting stuck. It says New Items in the top left corner and a black screen with little white dots floating. Why is this happening?

Restart the game. Hit X for UK stuff, scroll to your items, exit, should work. Rinse repeat until you collect all your stuff, and it will finally let you in. Not sure what happened, but after the patch it messed up. Good luck.
