Has anyone blocked a Field Goal before the end of the half and then the CPU kicking team got another attempt?
The ball was recovered behind the line of scrimmage and the kick was on 3rd down, but according to the rules I found on the internet, the ball should go to the defense when blocked and not advanced for a 1st down.

This hasn’t happened to me must be an unfortunate glitch, sadly every madden game is full of them. Yet somehow instead of improve gameplay they remove trade block and make AH barely useable lol
NFL rules are clear about this. Legally putting a foot on the ball via placekick, punt, dropkick, etc. means an end of the offense's possession. There's a few issues like this.
Last year, I blocked a punt near my opponent's endzone, and the punt got past the line of scrimmage, bounced off a player, and ended up back in the endzone, recovered by the opponent for a touchback. (Not a safety, which it absolutely should have been.)

Crazy stuff!
EA should probably fix these issues rather than have one of them become a factor in a championship game where some type of prize is on the line?
Same thing happened to me. Failed the frickin' Epic Challenge because of it.
