Buying levels in Field Pass?

I noticed in some YT videos that you can buy levels in the Field Pass to speed up the Season progress.

I am at Level 40 without buying levels and I have no plans to do so. However the option doesn't show up (didn't show up when I was in the 30ish range).

Can someone explain to me when this offered and like in my case when it's not?

It was just offered, only up to 40 probably because they haven’t made the epic strat cards yet so they don’t want people to get to 43 yet until Wednesday.

As I wrote....even when I was in the range of 35-39 it wasn't offered while I could see on YT that other players in the same range did get the offer.

I'm just trying to understand the reason for this. Not interested in buying it.

I feel the inherent assumption of EA deception/ineptitude and I like the connection to the epic strategy cards. I had a similar thought. Could they really be that unprepared though? Maybe

Also could be an example of EA prioritizing time over $$. If you let people buy out the levels and they will. Then there are fewer bells, whistles and rewards when they log on the next time. So they stop logging in and with the Harvest promo just around the corner that’s the last thing EA wants. It all comes back to $$ in the end.

As far as why you wouldn’t be offered it and someone else would. I don’t know. I thought these offers were community wide. I haven’t heard anything about targeted offerings or maybe it’s an “opportunity” offered to those with the premium pass.

It only this week became available to buy levels up to level 40 this season. If you’re already level 40 it won’t allow you to purchase any more levels. If you were levels 35-39 last week, the option to buy wasn’t available. They don’t make the levels available to buy until the last 2 weeks of the season.
