Sounds like Madden 22 all over again
Oh boy. Not looking forward to this if it ends up being true
I don’t mind it, it’s not that hard to stop
Y'all, I hope the QB scramble will be moderately good. I hated how those DE would crash down like the game depended on it. I'm not saying let it become a god meta, but allow the escape to be able to occur more often.
Civil also released a “meta“ offensive ebook for free on YouTube. I watched it and it honestly doesn’t look that good. I am trusting his opinions less and less.
I don't know really know Civil... never watched his streams... couple of videos that popped up on YouTube is all. I have seen some people talk about him in forums but I can't vouch for whether he knows what he's talking about or not.
I've always been a pure pocket passer... so I prefer it when the game doesn't cater to mobile QBs. Remember Throne's toxic Near Close Flex scheme from a couple years ago? Everyone will say that it's not too hard to stop but for a few months it was pure toxicity.
The even number years of late have been stretch AND rollout meta.
Madden 18 started the stretch spam. Crashing my Dline outside did nothing. next let's try shifting and crashing! Nope they still turned the corner, next shift linebackers, nope. Tossed M18 after 40 hours. I played M20 during the pandemic & never touched M22.
I mean, that play style is pretty much going to be strong at the start of any Madden year, based on how players move with release day speeds in cover and as contains on the d-line.
