Defense just isn't fun

There is literally no fun to be had playing defense currently offense just gets card after card after card all with 90 plus speed on theme teams while cornerbacks and safeties all are being left in the dust with 88 speed and 89 speed max just constantly being burnt. Ill be in man playing inside underneath shades and just getting torched on slant routes every time there is no point in even trying anymore and just hoping some pi doesn't get called.

you have to have man beating routes or else everyone would just play it and nobody would be able to do anything. to me this game is much better suited for a zone/man up certain players type of situation. the only issue I have is, I think when you guess correctly on defense it should work 90% of the time, like I shouldn't pick correctly everytime down the field and they still score.  not sure what the solution would be but people playing man ain't it.

Then also ea just deleting play ball or plat receiver from the game like what's up with that? my players developed a mental disability in this update.

I gave up on defense. I'm calling random shit and praying so hopefully it works

Nah you pretty much just have to hope they make a stupid mistake. Even then theres a solid chance the game will bail them out (theyll throw it right to your defender and even though its coming right to him hell either drop it or outright not even try to catch it, hell go out of his way to swat it instead lol

I love defense.   It's pick city out there for me.   On offense I have all the time in the world since people don't know what to do without loops lol

It's terrible now, the game hasn't been fun since the patch.

I've been doing better on defense with match being an option myself and it allows me to keep them guessing as to what I'm doing between man and zone and I'm dotting them up on offense as well but I've been making a good amount of effort to improve my game getting tips everywhere I could too. I get my butt kicked all the time on both sides of the ball but I'm actually making winning records in champs and somehow finding myself in MVP on h2h so I'll take it. I legit have been enjoying defense as well, even though it doesn't always do the best job of existing for me, but the games that happens I was pretty much going to lose anyway.

Defense is OP on old gen

For me it’s the fact that you can almost never separate the receiver from the ball, even with a big hit they catch EVERYTHING. Gonna make everyone go to KOs like last year 🙄

no offense but your poll question is kinda dumb. the answer is obviously yes because if you dont play defense you opponent score more points making it harder to win. And as for is it fun to play? sometimes it is sometimes it isnt. I enjoy playing defense when my opponent throws the ball bc i cant defend the run for shit. But tbh the people who are going "oh i cant play defense anymore bc i cant loop" is a bunch of bull bc i been playing pretty good defense all year and dont even know how to loop or even use it. If you want defense just run coach suggestions lol
