Defense sucks

I don't care what anyone says, defense is literally useless this year. I'm ready to sell every defensive player i have and go with the fastest guys regardless of coverage stats, they mean absolutely nothing. Every single game is a shootout and there is almost no way to get stops unless your opponent makes a mistake or you get a lucky pick or a good user. Man coverage is dog shit too, well it is whenever i do it. I'm enjoying the game but man, the defense is really horrendous and discouraging.

 I honestly don't know if there is a point in investing in any defensive players other than their speed rating. Just go with the fastest guys so they can put themselves in a position to at least try to make a play and that's pretty much it.

I feel you bro! That’s why after winning back to back superbowls I sold my team and went with a 50/50 steelers tt. I’m just having fun, got my first ever back to back superbowls wins and one of them I went undefeated on seasons. Just have fin.

Yea i'm definitely having fun, i just can't figure out defense this year. Even when i put guys in the right spot, they just stand there lol

I already remember a play this morning lol  my cb was just standing and qb was rolling out for a TD run.

I felt the same after building a 90+ zone defense. No matter what you do, if the offense makes a good throw, it's not getting defended. So then I just went with value guys who are fast enough.

Same thing happened to me. The CB just watches him run and doesn't even try to make a play. They need to fix the defense and actually make them attack the ball

Yep, most of my guys are high man and zone and it does nothing. If guys are in the right spot, they will make a play which is why i think speed is better than any stat

I hear you on speed...makes me think maybe I need to upgrade to faster guys, though I certainly didn't ignore speed or anything. I can attest to zone ratings in particular being a bit hit or miss for sure. Unfortunately I think a lot of us realize the importance of speed and it shows with how expensive the speedy cards tend to be. Though there are some budget beasts.

If you push in the right stick, the nearest non blitzing defender will rush the qb

On the same breath guys with low man and zone will make plays and jump routes, which makes no sense at all.

This is the reason i go with tall players in my secondary. I just feel like the taller guys go up and make a play. Not all the time but it definitely happens. When i had 85 6'3 Delpit, he jumped everything. 6'1 Terrell plays like he has Acrobat on my team. It's just so inconsistent lol

Yup this weekend I spent big on my defense and it gave me absolutely zero results. Defense plays the same whether I have all 88’s or 83’s. Not a single difference.

I’ll try that but I was pushing down on the right stick and left and right everything.
