Madden just got even sweatier. Going to be some crazy defensive lock down teams now.
Good change imo. Defense has been way too difficult

Interesting, you run both of your DOZKO on deep safeties, not outside corners? I can't imagine not being able to lock down the sideline, deep corner breaking routes.

It’s by design.
I run Inverted Cover 3.
Safeties are actually playing outside thirds. Which, due to the reaction part of the ability lets them play sideline to sideline and come down on those corner routes.
Flat Zone KO when it works, allows the flat defender to come down for the KO or react back, allowing make plays all over.
Deep In Zone on my Inside Third defender, depends on who I’m blitzing or usering.

Appreciate the explanation / clarification. I'm still doing a lot of Cover 2 / Cover 3 / Cover 4 Man/Zone hybrid combos, mostly base aligned, so my opponents hopefully have to keep guessing. Not that the bulk of kids i'm playing are reading defenses, heh. Ahh well, i should simplify things a bit, try to make my life easier. I tend to spend the first quarter or two trying different things to see what somewhat reliably can slow down my opponent, then settle in until they demonstrate they can beat my coverage. Rinse, repeat.
I blitz Slot corners often from both Dollar and Dime.
Love it Def needed it

Thank you for explaining your setup and why. Dumb question. Game won't let me put Bo at Slot CB, just regular CB. How do you get him in slot?

Just gotta find what’s best for you & taylor abilities around it
I play my best when I play simple stupid.
Run the ball, quick passing game, control the clock offensively/defensively and bend don’t break defense.
it’s what allowed me to make top 100 consistently every year of MUT Champs besides the first year of the mode. allowed me to compete with KMAC, Mayz, & Bobby. Beat Youtubers like CC (Tua gameplay on youtube last year), GMIA (42-14 on stream), Zirk, & DMoney.
Lol I can't wait for a week into the szn when everyone is crying about how hard offense is now 😂

Sub him manually (gotta sub him out first if he’s starting in another positio) or SS1 call big nickel will play him in the slot automatically
im happy with the change….i’ll get to throw some stuff onto my safeties now
gonna completely kill offense. I don't understand why they cant just fix zone drops and zone coverage 🤦♂️.

Man after my own heart, specifically this portion below:
Run the ball, quick passing game, control the clock offensively/defensively and bend don’t break defense.
Constantly see all the streamers and comp players throwing these deep bombs, streaking 30+ yards down/across the field, but that's never really been my style. I try to avoid the dump off, dump off, check-down nonsense, but some times i just gotta do what keeps working, force an opponent to shut it down, even if it's a simple run right, run left. I was primarily a Slinger 1 guy last year, as it worked best with my short-mid passing attack. Currently using Luck due to the 4AP stack. Well, mostly because i never managed to get QB Perry (or any Xmas LTD presents). Was really hoping Joe Montana was the answer to my wildest hopes and prayers. Bleh. Think again. At this point i doubt he'll be usable... definitely not by level 55 or whatever final upgrade piece is. Oh well.
Also, not sure you wanna include Zirk on basically any type of top tier / competitive list(s) you may be building. He's good at getting attention and screaming real loud, but I've never found him to be particularly good at the game. And have you ever seen him try to throw an actual football? HA, my wife looks liek Drew friggin Brees with a cannon compared to poor Zirk.

How do you run an inverted cover 3? Do u just sub in the players manually Or is it an actual defensive formation?
