I wonder how they’ve been choosing which discounted abilities to give D-line/OLB?
It kind of seems like they have a bunch of them written on little pieces of paper and draw them out of a hat.
Gravedigger and JPP both get El Toro as a discounted ability but neither of them have the Bull Rush trait. So in order for it to activate you would have to user them and perform the Bull Rush move yourself.
Just seems like kind of a waste unless you user the line all the time.
I agree, the ability choices haven't made much sense. Hargrave also gets edge threat as a DT.

Didn't even realize that was a thing. Seems like a pretty big oversight
Yea, and Sam Hubbard getting discounted pick artist and tip drill at DE doesn’t make sense. Pick artist kinda makes sense but when is your DE ever gonna be in position to catch a tipped pass?

Lol, unfortunately I’ve experienced that one in H2H. I had my pass batted and Bruce Smith got me with a Pick 6. But he didn’t have any catching abilities, just lucky user input.

Oh wow, Reggie white has gotten probably abt 5 pick sixes for me but all of them were clean picks when I dropped him into a hard flat when they were doing the rpo bubble.

Yeah this one was unusual but I wasn’t even mad. I just shook my head, everything was going wrong in that game.

Yeah they did that with Merlin Olsen a while ago too. It doesn’t make sense.

I think they gave him both of those abilities strictly because of his pick 6 against the Ravens. If that didn't happen then I think he would have had different abilities.

Well a throw out of sack that hits linemen or something would be easy pick 6 material then, I wouldn't spend AP on it though.

Those games are the worst! In my 5th game of a 4-0 season my opponent returned the opening kick for a TD then I fumbled my opening return and he picked it up and ran for a TD. Not even 30 seconds into the game and there hadnt been a single offensive snap and yet I was still down 14-0. Took a lot for me to not quit

Yea like pick artist makes sense bc of throws out of sack, but I’ve never had a tipped pass end up anywhere near my d lineman

Well I assume it would count when it bounces off people's heads, I often have throw out of sacks bounce once or twice, so it might be somewhat useful.
