Had same issue. No 4-3 was very frustrating. I skipped a lot of the defensive challenges and still got to 100 stars.

Thought that was weird myself since it seemed to my playbook on offense.

It wasn't a huge deal to me though since I still beat most of the defensive ones first try. Mid blitz from nickel 2-4 mug worked well for me.
