Do in-game depth chart changes affect chems?

I'm trying to min/max roster slots for chems.

If I were to start a player in a position to get their chems, then at start of game pause and sub them out in the depth chart for a sublb or longsnapper or something, do I lose that chem I started the game with or does it persist despite them being subbed out?

As far as i can tell it looks like stats/chems are locked in once game starts

Yep I ran a test and chems and attribute upgrades lock at start of game, I can sneak one nice OL as my longsnapper and can use SUBLB SCB later
