do we need the trade block
The risks far outweighed any rewards. I'm getting along just fine with just the AH. The trade block was largely used by people cheating in some fashion or another.
i dont think we need it but i wouldnt mind having it back

It was vital to the community, it was nice to be able to try out a card from my friend to see if I wanted to buy him. Or if my friends needed cards for sets and I needed cards for sets we could swap and do the set we wanted ie team diamonds. Say I needed charger players and my friend needed the chiefs players. We could help each other and both get the cards we wanted

yEAH exactly this and giveaways.
But it got too out of hand with cheating and now its gone.
Yes, and I think it would be cool if there was up to 3 trading slots.

Yes that's a valid use for it - but unfortunately, for the 5% of the folks who used it as intended, the other 95% were using it to buy/sell coins and for farming alt accounts. In reality, Madden was the last sports game to have a trade block, so not surprising to see them finally do away with it.
My commeny (hehe) is no

yes i have never thought of that but it could be like franchise
It was overwhelmingly used for coin farming as others have noted. I used to spend hours regrinding solos and making sets from my alt account and personally I’m glad I don’t have that option anymore.
If they brought it back there would need to be five trade blocks since there are five distinct MUT economies. No way that happens.

The game was funner when they let us play how we wanted. If you wanted to grind and farm, fine. Now it's funneled to money only and the more restrictions the worse it feels.

Exactly. I have been playing MUT for over 10 years and any changes made by EA have always been to increase micro transactions.

I get that but coin buying and selling hasn't been halted from the trade block leaving. I guarantee you if ea gets the NFL license again they're gonna snatch the auction block away like 2k did on NBA 2k24.
If we allow and justify the trade block being gone I can guarantee it won't be long before they get rid of the auction house to completely end coin buying and selling. Forcing you to spend your coins on packs.
I've been playing Madden since 06 and if we lose the auction block in mut I'm gone

Nothing is wrong with that tho, I know ea didn't like it because you were making coins. But you were literally just playing the game and using your rewards you got to play the game. Farming should be okay. It is in almost every other game.
