Yes and no all abilities should be on for 4 plays and takes 5-6 to reactivate them so they can all be ballanced

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. There hasn't really been an attempt to balance the abilities. I feel like I'm playing against the same teams pretty much every game. Size and ability discount are much more important than stat values.

the other thing is idk what i look for anymore in gameplay man can be beat, zone can be beat you come up with a scheme and you have to find a specific players to put on your squad to play oppose to your favorite player, you paying for abilities to get neutralize by a simple mechanic or inconsistent mechanic. it's horrible. because every year something is broken or cartoon-like the tackles don't kick there feet out on edge rushers and certain play actions, left guards and tight ends block nobody in certain formations, the safeties don't come up to the ball when it's thrown regardless of gunslinger pass lead elite or even set feet with ANOTHER ABILITY..... even THE QB SNEAKS LOOKS UGLY.
i'm glad i have another game to play because man playing this 24/7 with no replay ability is HELL WITH VOLCANIC LAVA

as a competitive player i don’t care that much because:
1. It’s nearly impossible to get a stop in madden 23, so if I’m getting 2nd and long/3rd and long opportunities every drive, that’s fine with me
2. People using quadfather can’t pass
3. the run is not THATTT good in this game

Once you start playing guys who know how to utilize Quad and Henry it won't be so easy to stop them. I do not generally cheese those guys in h2h but if I did (and when I did a few times), it is incredibly difficult to stop.
If you put running the ball on conservative, Quad/Henry still break the tackle attempt and will not fumble. I also have Gronk with vanguard, Pickens, Roddy White, and Taysom Hill with 0 AP Honorary Lineman. I can sub in UL Zimmerman at WR who also can actually catch....and I have Delanie and Metzelaars at TE. It is pancake city. Last game I played, with SaQuads (and no AKA factor), I had 35 pancakes - Gronk had 20 alone. You won't get TFL unless you run commit and then you're screwed once you do that.
It won't be so easy to stop once you get to playing people with setups like I described. It will be downright frustrating. It is why I made this thread. I remember when MUT cards were mostly attribute based. Sure there were some crazy OP cards like Dickerson, Bo, Finneran, back in the day but mostly the better player card actually played better.
I think it is nuts that you need to use 96 Milk Man over 98 JJ Watt to be more successful.

If you play competitive then c'mon....lots of people who use Quad CAN pass. Unless you are not playing quality opponents. You wrote it yourself - it is nearly impossible to get a stop. That's why in MCS you see how pivotal it is when Dez stopped Henry , etc.....But that wasn't my point. You are playing a football game where you need certain abilities to counter these AKA factors or you're toast. It's not just the run, it is also unstoppable force which is unable to be countered by any ability. There are X factors which essentially guarantee a KO....
Don't you feel restricted by what players and abilities you can use in order to counter these AKA factors, etc? Wouldn't you rather use players you like? I guess I am old school. Man, I love guys like Bettis and Fridge but if I really want to be effective I'd have to use Derrick Brown or Al Woods over Fridge because they get IS for 0 AP. This became more of an RPG than a football sim.

which is hard to stop no doubt d-hop double me and of course quadfather and king Henry
on the flip slide it makes the the game easier for beginners who want to learn the game
too bad most are very expensive especially the good ones

Ahhh...but see, that's my point - that is NOT what the game is supposed to be. What noobs (and I don't use the term in a bad way at all) are learning is more like an RPG or a fantasy game than real football strategy and sim. The way to learn the game is to practice reading defenses and stuff like that.....instead people are having to figure out ways to either break the AI or counter some ridiculous ability that no one has IRL
