He has the fastest release in the game already and gunslinger does not increase ball velocity, only release speed.
I wonder if anyone had tested this frame by frame.to see what effect gunslinger has on a slinger 1 release.
If it is negligible, I'll take it off Elway
I would say just try it without Gunslinger and see how it feels to you. Last year I used Slinger 1 QB’s with only HRM and didn’t have any issues. This year they made Gunslinger a lot less effective so I doubt you will feel a difference.
Doesn't seem worth to use AP on GS (nerfed GS at that) when you would be just fine with HRM

Yeah last year gunslinger increased pass velocity this year it only increases release speed.

Can't forget about Fearless. Those 2 and SFL are by far the best QB abilities in the game and make most others redundant (especially those that were nerfed)

I guess if there’s a QB that has a slow release but great attributes then maybe it would be worth it if you could speed up the release with Gunslinger for 1AP?
I’m kind of thinking about it like using a linebacker with Lurker for 1AP. You could save the AP and use a Safety at SubLb but if it’s the right guy then maybe it’s worth it.

I’m using Lurker for 1AP on Devin White monster maker (even though I might pick up Ray when MF part3 drops), and honestly? I’m not looking back 🤷🏻♂️
He‘s constantly making plays for me, and that 91 speed is sweet…
On gunslinger… I don’t know, I kinda see it useless this year. Probably a good idea on a bad release, but I think it’s just better to look out for good/great releases and throw SFL in.

Yeah, but the thing is, with gunslinger and set feet lead, this card has the quickest release of any card that's ever been in Madden. It's kind of insane....Question is, do you NEED that release speed? Is he fastest sin the game already enough? It probably is....I will run it with and without GS and see if I notice a difference

Agreed. When they changed most of these abilities to THP instead of release AND we Easily get 99 THP no reason to use them.
