Explain to me the psychology here

You're down 2 or 3 TDs with a quarter to go in house rules, with no timeouts. Stats don't count. Staying to the end gets you nothing, except wasting two people's time. Yet this is 75% or more of the player base in house rules. Not quitting down 8-0 is bad enough, but you're wasting your own time here. I truly don't get it.

some people pride themselves in never quitting even if it’s to their detriment 🤷🏼‍♀️

I never quit unless I’m down 3+, house rules I probably would concede but in season or champs nah. I was down 0-14 at half and came back and won 21-17. House rules is different though

This is strictly house rules. If you give up a score, quit. Even if you somehow score, stop your opponent, and score again to win, that's as much or more than a full new game.

If the guy I am playing is talking all kinds of crap, that is the only time I will stay in and try to come back, mostly likely full game.

With certain defensive abilities like Avalanche, you can stick out a game going into the fourth quarter and retain a small chance to win.

I’m finding in the current House Rules constant glitching and cheesing. Although it would be advantageous from a time-spent perspective to quit out of these games, I don’t always get opportunities to play against users that rely so heavily on glitchy plays. Sticking these games out is helping me improve my defense against RPO’s and stretch runs. I’ve even won a couple of these matches, games that I would have quit out of in the past. I dare say the result was worth it, even though I would lose a majority of these games.

But once the game is out of hand, quitting is the right thing to do. And for crying out loud, three delay-of-games in a row is not quitting out. That is one of the most disrespectful behaviors, because it doesn’t just impair sportsmanship; it’s a deliberate waste of another human’s life.

Can’t tell people how to spend their time. 
If it’s such a waste of your time, why don’t you just quit? Yes  matter of fact why not just quit madden all together. I’m sure you’re “wasting” someone else’s time in your life playing madden. 

This is a very entitled and shitty demeanor

Make sure everyone to put down your GT or PS ID so that if I come across you in any h2h mode, I’m making it a 2 hour event, especially if you subscribe to the OPs bs way of thinking.
