what do you prefer? i’ve been running midzone personally
most of my slot CBs are in curl flats at 0 or 5 yards, so i run flat zone
mid zone
Why not both… these are my guys
Derwin - 0 ap for both
Byard - 1 ap for both
I prefer midzone. I feel like mid zone activates on some throws that are borderline flat zone territory if your slot can get there.
I think it ultimately depends on your scheme and what you value more. Personally, I'm ok with giving up the flats on most plays because it forces my opponent to dink and dunk their way downfield and I trust myself enough to prevent major YAC.

this is how i feel too. feel like sauce gets knock outs under 10 yards and he lights up, but also reacts to corners in bunch etc

I used to think I preferred Flat, but lately, especially after adding Sauce this week, I now vastly prefer Mid Zone, which might be one of THE most underrated abilities in the entire game. It can be a little glitchy, tends to trigger in a LOT of areas of the field.
For example, when I was still running Light it Up token on Kam (SS) with Mid Zone KO, he would constantly benefit from the improved reaction time, while also getting all KOs from Dual Threat. YMMV, definitely Mid Zone these days. Sauce is near prefer Slot corner, although PS2 WW Nike is also a fantastic option, PA + Flat for 0AP. Obviously take whatever is 0AP, all things equal.
