May I ask why I just can’t play the game the way I want? just wondering
i know I won’t ever finish a competitive pass and I accepted that but now it’s the other passes too?

You can play how you want but MUT is mostly online so most of the rewards come from playing online.

I have been able to in previous years finish all of the passes and finish all of the seasons without playing a single game online
not sure how in previous years this was a 90 percent online game?

Some people just don't like the cheese. It's not even about winning and losing for some of us. I probably play both 50/50 but playing against a person and sweating out a game vs man 0 pressed loop blitz every single play isn't fun no matter how many times I beat it because it forces me to run the same counter to man 0 press over and over and over again. But now people that play offline are forced to have bad teams and can't use any of the new cards until months later?
who is the winner here? now someone is forced to play online vs someone who is probably a lot better than them so they are gonna just lose, that's not fun. You, the online user is forced to play someone inferior who offers you no competition (that you claim to be yearning for), but they have to rack up offensive stats for objectives so they sit in a game that they can't win and waste your time.
If you want to play offline vs a cpu that offers variety and actual simulation football that's cool, if you want to play online with your favorite cheese plays thats cool too. I like to do both, but one gets old real quick so I'm glad to have something to fall back on when I want to relax. It's a video game, an escape from the stressful realities that are actually happening daily. they take that away to force people to spend money and make a quick buck? it's messed up.
the least they could do is throw it up on game pass for free after a month and live off their stupid microtransactions they make billions off of just so we can get excited about a shit pull that will be irrelevant in 2 weeks.

And this is why I started playing starfield. Game sucks but better then playing against these sweats who only know how to spam the same 4 plays and get themselves into credit card debt

Why are they pushing offline players into H2H? Because it increases the pressure to need a top squad to compete which increases the pressure to spend.

MUT is far from realistic. The game mode is played in competitive mode. Offline players are always going to get the short end of the stick with rewards. And tbh I think they should.
You should look into a simulation online franchise to join.
