Free form passing question

I would consider myself a pretty experienced madden player. I use placement+accuracy on near with 7/20 free form settings. My question is…if I free form straight up and use the right amount of “power” bullet/lob/touch, why am I always making passes that are under thrown. The DB always makes the play. hi points are dead so idk what else to do. I thought the whole point of free forming was to be able to put it outside of the normal circle area around the receiver that you would be limited to just using the analog stick

also, what are y’all’s opinions on the QuickDraw ability. anyone stack it with gunslinger? If so does it help?

what QB you using? their stats definitely play into it as well as deep release ect. 

secondly, i pass lead up and away on deep balls with high point. if you have a tall receiver it puts the ball in a further away position and the new RAC animations allow the receiver like pickens to grab it in stride

You def have the QB if I don’t high pass my deep balls  they’re under thrown . But there’s something with madden especially on post plays where you have the defender beats by 5 yards where you just get a random under throw this year.
