Getting back into mut, looking for tips

Getting back into mut. Few questions

So I stopped playing mut probably around halloween time, sold off everything I could, and now just kind of bored with other games, I was grinding away and building up a phins theme team. Got some holes in there, and not everyone is the top card they could be - but I'm at 92 ovr, and have a few better nat cards, like Ed Reed, Fred B, etc to throw in.

But I'm going to be very close to getting/not getting that 98 ovr Gronk, which I would like to add to the squad obviously. I think I'm going to need to win a few mut champs or h2h games to get there, but my question is ---> what has this game turned into online h2h now? Whats the meta, what to look out for? What works decently on offense? Never really been into cheesing the game, just do my own thing. An average player, but I know I'll run into plenty of teams wayyyy overpowering mine. Are there any low end teams left out there?

I've got about 5 million coins to play with, but dont realllllyyyy wanna dip into the stack too much. But I'm open to adding some players if I need to. What abilities are people running / liking these days on offense and defense?

a few current things I'm running just as an idea - 

Qb - 94 Tua 

Rb - 94 Damien Williams (and have Dunn) 

Wr - 93 Tyreek Hill, 91 Brandon Marshall, 93 Mark Clayton, 89 Waddle ... and 94 fred (thinking of getting Hill/Waddle upgrades) 

Te - 93 Keith Jackson, 94 Gronk 

OL - 94's and an 89 

DL- 90 Wake / Jason Taylor / 89 Sapp / 92 Sam Adams 

LB- 92 Chubb, 91 Lanier, 93 Elandon Roberts, 94 Ernest Jones, 92 Jaelan Phillips (and carl banks upgraded)

CBs are pretty rough - 95 Rodgers, Howard/Byron jones chemmed up to 93/94, brandon jones 92 

FS- Minkah, 89 Holland (have 96 ed reed too) 

SS- 94 Eric Rowe, 93 Sammy Knight

Thoughts to help me get a few W's??

I’d go in on some of the 97 LTDs. Currently running 50/50 dolphins, and all the bad positions just have an LTD there to minimize the loss with the 350k quicksell (especially at DB). Grab that Legendary team chem and mark Clayton 92 to save a few spots and keep that 50/50.

Try and go all in on a Dolphins theme team (since you already have a lot of their players). That‘llbe the fastest way to get a competitive team in online against these God squads. then play MUT champions and try to get the free players that come out every two weeks (also a lot of coin rewards and packs as well). And DON’T use coins to buy packs lol just buy specific players. The meta seems to be run with Gun tight or Gun Bunch mixed in. A lot of short passes. defense is blitzing of course

Usually the free ones that a player gets discounted. Pick Artist Seems to be a must on defense or else they will just swat the ball. Secure Tacklers with all the Quadfathers and King Henry’s. On offense, spend about half on the QB and the rest elsewhere. Receivers only need like one, maybe two abilities, and they’re usually free. Edge Protector is a MUST. Secure Protectors are second I’d say. And even then, you’ll still get pressured a lot

here is a look at a dolphins TT, I tried to include some of the cards you mentioned. The TVP is leaving the store in 3 days, the crash before the crash is actually the best so watch prices this week. Get all the BHM players and do their missions to get their 93, they also give each other boosts, Boldin and Dunn are very good IMO. 

As far as abilities, best to stack Set feet lead/Pass lead elite with gunslinger and fearless is a must this year. That's 6 AP on Tua. Identifier is nice to have armstead gets that for free. If you like to run a lot nasty streak on the interior line is fun.

Must prepare to beat man coverage vs any opponent, Short out elite beats press coverage, route tech beats off coverage so target some WR that have those, dolphins TT as unlimited short out elites to choose from. If you don't get gronk target a TE that gets short in for free and deep out for 1 ap. 

Dolphins defense is mostly set up for man defense so i'd prioritize edge rusher abilities, and deep route KOs on the DBs, or if you run a lot of spinner or Dollar coverages make sure your dline have inside stuff and your slot corners are fast then put Route KOs on the rest of the DBs

Two mut champs game so far, first game overmatched but competitive, lost. Good ol gun tight pa cross play or whatever it was called. Basically his offense was to throw it up to gronk..

Second game, again overmatched.. I was up by a touchdown, fumble the kickoff, he scores. Then a bad pass and a pick... and the downfall began. ugh

It'll get better I'm sure, knocking off the rust a bit now. You can tell these guys havent missed a step playing the game lol

Last game went down to the end... went for 2 failed... he ended up going for it on 4th down and I came back and scored with 20 seconds left, went for 2 again. 

And he scored prbably 3 times on a bomb to cole beasley... just couldnt stop it for some reason, which sucked because it was such a basic play. But whatever,  can accept it going down to the fire. Just pissed though because that shouldve been a win if not for flukey plays

You'll get there someday man. I personally wanted to run a dolphins tt but decided on a legends tt. Some key dolphins you can get for cheap are wilkins and byars. If you can really afford it, Culpepper at QB and cheetah at wr are good choices. Wait for prices to drop though. Also, just because cheetah is at 350k does not mean he's gonna end up costing 350. You have to pay for the 93 and the 88 as well. This applies to all AKA new class players except for LTDS.

Also, don't expect to win lots of games in your current state. Don't get discouraged if you do lose, eventually, you'll get good.

since you left, abilities have allowed for more flexibility in ones scheme. Analyze how you play and select abilities that enhance your scheme.
