Got new console, lost all players and coins

I replaced my series s console with a series x.  Downloaded Madden 24.  When I opened it, team was reset to day 1 of the game, and all of the player and coins I had are gone.  Is there a way I can get the team I had on the old console back?  Don't want to start over this late in the season.

Sadly this is the way things are working with console upgrades this year...

Did you replace a current Gen series s with a current gen series x?  If so, you downloaded the wrong version of Madden.  If you are replacing a old Xbox one S with a series x, you are out of luck.  You can still play old gen on the series x to keep your team though.

I replaced an Xbox Series S (current generation) with an Xbox Series X (current generation).  When I downloaded the game from my library, two versions of the game showed in the library.  One had the X/S symbol on it, and one did not.  I assumed that the one without X/S displayed was the old generation version of the game, and the one with X/S was the one to download.  The system knows that it is the same account, as I got the pre-order 83 version of Josh Allen, but my coins were at zero, the team was reset, and the 4400 credits I had remaining from the pre-order of the deluxe verson were gone.

You either played the old gen version on your series s without realizing it or you played the current gen on your series s and downloaded the old gen version on your series x.  Team would transfer between same generations.

Yeah, if you had an Xbox Series S, you could've been playing on current gen this whole time. Seems like you've been playing old gen instead.
