Thoughts?
I don't believe either of them are considered meta this year at least on current gen. They both mainly benefit man coverage and aren't that useful for zone. Since this is mostly a zone year, most people don't use them. Reinforcement or Universal Coverage are generally considered the x-factors of choice for DBs. Might be different on old gen though.
Maybe they'd be decent if you're really committed to running man
I liked one step ahead NTL stuck to people with this ability bottleneck I never noticed it doing anything
Shutdown is the coverage x-factor you want to run…I have it on 3 players and just run cover 0 blitzes all game and I’ve been winning a lot with it.

Which players?
One step ahead is kind of trash tbh, I been using it HELLA and my CB gets COOKED so many times and not to mention lots of routes don't even cut. Bottleneck is great but thats if they press

I use Comnine DRC and Simmons, and Reid from the Super Bowl series. Fully upgraded and with a light it up token, Reid is probably the best player on my team. Herb Adderley also has the Shutdown LIU xfactor but his accel is pretty slow even with full 70/70 Super Bowl chem. I also have 70/70 SB and 35 combine, and run the purple hybrid Strat, just mentioning it because they both effect the players I’m talking about.
