I heard that the avalanche x-factor will only cause fumbles if the player is user controlled? Is that true? I have Willis who I usually user and love his card and there have been a few times where he seems to cause fumbles even when I'm not usering him and he hit sticks an opponent. At one point I had both Willis and Prez on the field with their x-factors activated but moved on from Prez with all the new safeties like Glover and Polo-mao...etc. Would it be viable to run a few avalanche x-factors and put your tackling on aggressive so the CPU controlled players will hit stick more and thus cause more fumbles? Does avalanche work when CPU controlled?
I can't say if avalanche works on cpu players. I haven't really messed with it much so I'd just be repeating what others have said. My guess is it's like a lot of things in Madden. Where if the user activates them there's a better chance of your player forcing a favorable result for you. But that's just a guess.
I will say that multiple avalanche players could work. One of the criticisms of avalanche is it can be easy to avoid since it's only one player on the defense. So if you have multiple and switch on to them you have a better chance at being able to make a tackle.
Not sure if I would recommend multiple avalanche players though. I would rather spend 1 ap on another good defensive ability than a second avalanche player. If it works for you do it, it's just not my style of defense.
I don’t think it’s smart bro I had this one opponent do this and didn’t realise he was until my first plays literally one after another he made me fumble and he got 2 straight defensive touchdowns cause I run first, I then realised what he was doing and just started gunning it on him and he could not defend against my pass cause he had no abilities to cover my receivers. Long story short he quit before half and he basically started with a 2 touchdown lead
I feel I get better luck when usered
but I’ll tell you right now, if you can fit backyard baller Derrick Henry into your defense, his avalanche is amazing because the opponent doesn’t know where it’s coming from
I currently have him at deep safety ina cover 2 so the flats with slow down the ball carrier and Henry comes to clean it up

I haven't used BB Henry yet. I use Willis who costs only 1ap but his x-factor isn't on all game but it only takes 2 or 3 plays to charge up. Also im loaded at safeties and have to run Glover cause of the TT remix boosts so Henry isn't very viable for me but I've heard good things about him.
