Use prevent defense, and move DBs back further... use your Sub LB.. you should have plenty room to set that up if they run the ball or throw something underneath

whenever  i have to make a hit stick/big tackle in a h2h game i dont have any problem but solos seem alot harder to time for some reason so i go to coach adjustments and input agressive tackle  and in no time BAM......Hope this helps bud.

Cut sticks instead of hit sticks. Still takes a while but it’s easier than regular hit sticks
