I've been playing MUT seriously since madden 20. Abilities have always been a topic that the Madden community disputes. At the end of the year last year this question was asked, and heavily debated on. Since we are around the middle of the year in Madden, I wonder how the community feels about the abilities in MUT this year. Me personally, this has been an on and off year for me. I usually come back around during this time of year, but so far I like how the devs are handling AP and abilities. What do you think?
I wish they made more of the existing abilities usable/cheaper. would allow for more customization rather than making KOs and PA/LA almost manditory
I wish EA could code a game and they didn't need to exist.
hate them....turned this game into pokemon/ blitz/ marvel superpowers boo boo
Well there are around 50 of them and only about 5 of them ever get used, so something is off.
Defensively, it seems like we might be soon reaching the point where you build a team that has access to most of the KOs and other abilities you want. Heck we might be there already with the best possible lineup. It's only a matter of time before it's more accessible. Personally, I don't like that. I think if abilities are going to exist they should go back to the old system where you could only have 3 or so players with abilities. But I know that doesn't sell packs, so EA won't do it.
Offense seems like a mixed bag outside of the QB and route apprentice there aren't many abilities worth running. Some of the identifier type abilities and juke box are worth using as well but that's about it.
Honestly, most abilities could just be another ratings threshold if that's what wanted to do.
