I need help with 99 Overall QB Mahomes, he's missing so many bullet passes

So I got the 99 overall Superbowl Mahomes and I was excited for him, especially with his high mobility/speed on my Superbowl team

I got Set Feet Lead and Gunslinger on him

But he must miss 1 out of every 3 bullet passes

Corner Route, streak routes, wheel routes...he will randomly miss unpressured bullet throws

Sometimes Ill have a wide open streak route with my TE, and he will throw it wide left or wide right of my TE

On Bench routes against Man coverage, Ill try to time the throw right when my WR makes the cut, but Mahomes will sail the ball wide

Josh Allen made all these throws with the same ability stack, so not sure whats goin on.

I dont want to get ride of Set Feet Lead or not throw bullet passes, as often times I only have a small window to throw the ball and dont want it picked

My Doug Williams is having the same issue and i think SFL is causing it. Sometimes my WRs just pretty much bats the ball down and doesn't even attempt to catch it. It's like SFL is putting the ball in places that the WR shouldn't be at that moment and they don't animate for it.

I could understand Set Feet Lead overthrowing the corner routes on cuts, but my Mahomes is also missing straight streak passes, wide left or wide right, instead of overthrowing due to high power

i was having problems with this and i put Fearless on him and haven't missed a throw since

But my Mahomes is missing unpressured throws, if he was getting pressured I could understand the wild misses

Normally I try to get the pass off very quick if my opponent is in a drop zone

yep, same was happening to me... put Fearless on him and haven't missed a throw since. odd, since Fearless is only supposed to avoid under pressure throws, not unpressured, but whatever works i guess.

Had this problem with EVERY SINGLE QB I've used all year. Seems to be when free form passing / pass leading.

use the "run'n gun" light it up x-factor and just hold RT before you throw and you get a perfect pass every time

This. Bullet passes just come in so hot and the wr has no time to get to it.

that's what I observed when I used Montana a month back fearless somehow doesn't force you to miss any throw which I found crazy.

I am by far no rocket scientist and I know Dashing Deadeye isn’t meta but I have Purdy and went from missing every pass like your saying to dropping absolute dimes all over the place. I’d say it’s worth a try

Mahomes is driving me crazy right now

Will try out fearless, dashing deadeye or Run N Gun to see what works best

Plus no point at having any abilities of my WR or TE if Mahomes cant even get the ball to them...LOL

it's the timing of how long you hold the button for the bullet pass, there's a meter, learn to time it better

Mine is the same. I don‘t want to have to put a token back on Doug but man is he wild with his throws.

I love these type suggestions. THE most difficult opponents I've faced lately all tend to have some sort of roll out passing game to try and avoid all the Unstoppable Force type pass rush.

I had just started dabbling with Roaming Deadeye on Doug before making the leap to Mahomes MVP for his 4AP ability stack. I love being able to run three Secure Protectors (both Tackles & Center) plus an extra AP for whatever.

With Roaming Deadeye you just need to pause briefly before heaving it downfield. I hadn't really mastered it, but it wasn't difficult to get the basics down and made for some pretty wild gameplay. If you're struggling with all out blitzers, this might be for you. Almost every single pass was a "blue" assuming you get out of the pocket and send it.
