I'm beyond confused on Champs vs all other game modes

I just dont understand the gameplay in Champs mode

I've been active all year, have a great team...basically every top card except team diamonds

I win 80% to 90% of any H2H mode...draft mode, house rules, ranked, etc

Yet the few times I play champs mode...I go under 500

And I'm not using to GOD squad overalls or good players.

Instead its like sometime turned up the difficulty to Super All Madden

My DBs dont follow their zones, and will not pursue passes near them

Mean Joe Green and Simmons cant stop any run, they get pancacked by mid to high 80 OLine with mid tier RBs

Johnny Football overthrows about 1/3 of his corner routes

Justin Jeff and Icky drop any pass if they are touched, as if my opponent has hidden built in knockouts

Most games are close, but about 5-6 random horrible back luck instances will cost me the game...whether its a blown coverage, a missed throw/dropped pass, a fumble with conservative carry.

I just dont understand why my team plays so much better in ALL OTHER GAME MODES AND H2H...but gets nerfed in champs mode

Has anyone confirmed why EA does this...Ive heard of DDA, but why would they only put it in champs mode and not other modes?

 Dollar Zone defense with under shade. Pick artist on both LBs...micah McFadden and randy

I have Simmons at dt with inside stuff to help with run 

Outside runs and crossers, I'm very patient and don't go for risky big plays so very few turnovers

I find when people go for big plays and force passes that's when they lose

Thanks for the info. That's a really impressive win rate.

It has to do with DDA, but also champs is just a very, very sweaty game mode. I get every game counts, but people play like they NEED the rewards with every fiber of their being

and this issue is a madden specific issue. Champs in CFB isn’t even in the same stratosphere

i experience  the same.  To me, ranked gets easier as the season goes on, and it doesn't matter if you lose so there is way less pressure/ people quit earlier.  Champs and Gauntlet almost every game is against someone as good as me with a team as good as mine and no one thinks they should lose.

if you aren't a top 100 player you aren't likely to play a top player in ranked or anyone way above your your current rank and if you arent in the mood to sweat it out you can just take the L and play someone easier.

In champs, most people play like every game is the super bowl.  there are way more manual zone adjustments.  Even if you can read d in pre snap, its not the same as the play before which messes up reads.  Then you(I) notice the rng things that dont go my way and where normally i would just brush it off and try again next time, I get frustrated. 

20 and then 10 full games against people who will do anything to win are just different than all the other modes where winning really doesnt matter.

It's because of DDA. Not the opponent. The game is programed for you to never win more than 10-14 games.

Update...I just played the new All Madden Run...and I can confirm this mode has honest gameplay

I won 8 games in a row...most against weaker teams though...but my team is back to playing how their true overalls should be.  Its also very easy to chew the clock in this mode if you're smart

Johnny Football no longer randomly misses easy throws.  WRs dont drop passes (they drop passes in Champs mode with even giftwrapped

All Madden Run feels similar to the Superbowl mode H2H from last year...I hope they keep it

The thing is...I'm not losing to equal or better overall teams and good players...if so, I could accept that

I'm losing against weaker teams because my players dont perform how they usually do or the game seems to break against me

Its almost like playing those "Epic Challenges"...where you play against mid 80 overall players, but the CPUis somehow enhanced to play better and your team is nerfed

Again, if that happened in ALL H2H modes, it wouldnt stand out...but it only happens in Champs mode...so I have something to compare

What people dont realize is you dont have to score quickly...its actually better to advance down the field slowly as it chew more clock

And with No Set Feet Lead, deep passes get picked off by safeties anyway...even if you think a route is open, the safeties can close quickly

Turnovers cost you the game...so if you can prevent turning over...you will win 80-90% of your games

(I do turn the ball over in Champs mode...but not INTs, mostly random fumbles (even on conservative carry,  missed passes on 4th down because the game nerfs my short throws or runs get insta shedded by opposing DLineman with no abilities)

They're on different difficulties by default aren't they? I kinda like the champs gameplay and I'm RUBBISH. Regular h2h plays too much more like an arcade game. Champs is way more Grindy and enjoyable to me.

DDA doesn't make you win or lose. It's designed to keep the game close. Lames who lie online about how good they are just to imply it's a 'skill issue'. 

I'm top 100 ranked every season since season 1. I've been legend in Seasons mode since season 1 and regularly play. I've won 16 games in MUT Champs too. It doesn't change anything I've stated.

If DDA isn't real, explain why users click off so the computer can do the work? I hate lames like you who click off so the AI can tackle, yet you claim DDA isn't real. LOL! How ironic!
