Played a couple Champs games and have really seen the changes. As soon as the X-Factor on Flash or Bus is gone, there is just no offense out of these guys. And when they’re on defense, there just isn’t enough for all these KOs to bail people out. You gotta choose now if you want the Unstoppable Forces or KOs. I love it. Less bailouts and more actual gameplay.
It's different gameplay for sure. There's definitely still some meta influences on H2H, but they don't seem to be as effective.
I actually tried out Flash without his X-Factor today and he still did well with just Evasive for 0. Ended up making that decision because Gronk's Vanguard was more important to my run game... and it showed up when Flash was able to follow Gronk's pancakes all the way to the end zone.

I just love how you can actually exploit mismatches. In this last game I played, the dude only had PA on his slot corner so I was throwing to Jimmy Smith in the slot every down. Was getting real sick of guys having 3 Unstoppable Forces and then KOs on all corners AND Acro on their user. Love the 6 AP way more.

That is a way to interpret it. Now that I think about it, that is realistic. You put an elite wide receiver on an elite corner, despite both being talented the wide receiver is probably going to come away with the ball.
You can really tell who needs that 6ap haha, it's a jarring difference.
Only played 2 quick games but one was 1 play td and then 1 play int for a quit while the other didn't quit but gave up multiple ints.
My defense wasn't impacted much, I removed luxuries like flat zone ko and secure tacklers but all dbs still have ko and pa so it's business as usual so far.
lol less ap still same trash meta....stop lying

He's not lying. There has been a difference in the way people play today. The 12 AP meta won't suffice any longer. More true gameplay, and you finally can see who knows what their doing and who relied on the meta for so long.

I use 5 AP on my corners and most guys are just using free abilities on WRs. Gun Tight was way easier to stop today, in my opinion.

Completely agreed. The shift brings out some true gameplay at least for a while

Same bro. I was using 5 AP on the D-Line to test it out lmao (Sucked by the way). Just took the 5 off them and Short Route KO on my slot and I was golden. People were talking about spending an hour trying to figure out what abilities to drop… 🫠

1000%. Both games I played, as soon as Gus the Bus was deactivated, they went to quick passing until he got reactivated. Just set my flat zones to 0 and got some turnovers that lead to quits.
I can actually play H2H now! Thank you EA!

although you had some similar takes of mine, it has changed a bit. i've seen people really scared to throw the ball (almost lofting it...) and for the the first time ever i've gotten instant sacks and turnovers since this AP. although sample sized....it felt like we hit the factory reset to the beginning of the game except we got higher and faster overall players now lol.
I enjoyed Madden today for the first time in a while. Sure I adjusted my offense a bit, but SI and RT are always solid for the receivers, and my whole o-line has SP with no AP. I haven’t ever used AKA backs much. Didn’t like them. I’ve used the same RB for months with Bruiser, Tank, and FT and was matching or exceeding most of the AKA players prior to today. My bellcow was pretty unstoppable for the most part. Not to mention I have Tebow which was even more fun today. Obviously I played against Rodgers ALOT, no doubt for the AP reduction. I’m not spending that much coin on a QB when I already win way more than I lose. My defense changed some, the DBs all still have PA,KO, and ACRO. No AP on the line. Had more sacks and int’s on today than usual. So many of the guys I played still wanted to spam the tight bunch set. it was laughable. Lots of rage quits today. It…was…glorious

I’m finding the same thing when I played today and I want abilities entirely gone anyway so this is a good step
