Is 99 Overall Possible Yet?

I'm reading conflicting about this on the internet.

I've got 99 Defense and 99 Offense, but I'm 98 overall. I understand why, as my Punter is a 94, and my Kicker is a 90.  

Currently, there's a 99 Punter available but not a 99 Kicker. Do you need both, or will the game round up?

Also, who is the best Long Snapper/Kickoff Specialist, and are they a 99? Does that count for grading? How about 3rd Down RB?

TE2 and MLB2 count as well, right?

I'm just trying to get the lay of the land as I finalize my team for this season.

Yes, 99 OVR is possible, and has been so for several weeks now, mainly due in part to the K/P method detailed in the next paragraph.

You would indeed need a 99 K and 99 P to get to 99 OVR when paired with your 99 offensive and 99 defensive lineup. The best way to do it at the moment is to get 96 Scottish Hammer (P) and 98 Legatron (K). Both have Motivator boosts that have the effect of boosting each other (and themselves) to 99 OVR each.

The OVR ratings at LS and 3DRB do not count towards the overall. So you could place anyone who is not in your regular offensive lineup in those positions if you wanted to.

TE2 does NOT count towards the OVR, just TE1 in that position group. MLB2 does count.

Yes I’ve been at a 99 for a couple months now. You need Legatron and Scottish Hammer. They’ll boost one another to 99’s and you’ll be a 99 overall then. I’ve heard it also works with Legatron and the TOTY punter but I haven’t personally tested that.

The 96 Scottish Hammer doesn't appear often in the auction house these days. Is there a way to earn this punter other than auction? The 93 is available but not the 96. 

Also, there are two versions of Legatron: AKA New Class (red) and M23 Redux (gold). Which one activates the boost, or is it both of them?

Both the LTD and Redux version of Legatron provide the motivator chem boosts

I believe you can get 96 OVR Scottish Hammer through his set

over all doesn’t matter. i purposely choose not to have a 99 squad because some players at 98 play better than a 99 for me, and i don’t care for a 99 DE when i want to play 4 OLB

To achieve 99 OVR, you need these:

Greg Zuerlein "Legatron"

Legatron comes with Motivator Chemistry that boosts all K/P/OL in your lineup with +2 ACC, +1 AWR, +1 KPW, and +4 KAC.

Together they boost each other to 99 OVR
