He was the cover athlete for Madden 09, so that seems like the next logical release… anyone hear anything?

With the civil lawsuit against him still ongoing, I seriously doubt you're going to see a Favre anytime soon.  Maybe once his legal issues are resolved...

Agree with Rimbaud.  Last year, Favre was included in the video teasers for Madden 23 ahead of release.  Then the civil lawsuit was filed and he was pulled.  He hasn't done anything to improve his PR since.  As a Packers fan I'd love him to be included.  History would say he won't.

Most of the other cover athletes have yet to be released. Why must we specifically get the 09 cover athlete next week?
