I’ve been hesitant to try learning it because I’ve been passing normally forever but all the best people I play seem to use free-form. Is it a bitch to pick up?
Free form passing is definitely the way to go. The primary benefit of free form passing is ball placement. Better ball placement means more completions and less interceptions.
I don't think it's too difficult to pickup. The controls are pretty simple. You might make some mistakes when you're first learning how to use it. But mistakes are part of the learning process
You can set how far the reticle goes, how fast, etc...so you can start slow with your settings too
Thanks folks! I’ll give it a shot.
I personally enjoy it for fitting passes into tighter windows, an example of when I use it is when I see a player in a seem but there is a safety, I normally free form it to the side where the safety isn't so that he can reach the ball first.
Yes, its nearly required for streaks. before I started using free form my qbs would always underthrow receivers on streaks and it would be picked even when the receiver had more than a step. With freeform you can actually put the ball out in front of them and drop bombs when they have the DB beat by a step or two
