Is the explosion of LTDs ruining MUT for anyone else?

I've only played MUT for a couple years so maybe someone can help me see what the value of LTDs is to the game, because I'm completely missing it. I get what the value is to EA of course... but for players who actually enjoy doing the grind to earn great players, it feels like a simple cash grab that tries to force players into pack purchases.

LTDs seem to have dramatically increased this year and it has largely drained my enthusiasm for my Seahawks TT this year, where some of the top players are/were LTDs at QB ( 97 Wilson AND Geno!), WR (96 Baldwin), LG (96 Damien Lewis), CB (95 Sherm and 93 Woolen), LE (96 Clowney), RE (97 Frank Clark) and MLB (95 Bobby Wagner). Is it just me or is the explosion of LTDs a serious detriment to enjoying the game this year?

Just means you gotta grind for more coins :P

At least they get redux and with TVP they arent expensive for long.

I beleive they are trying to keep the good players more valuable. If they were all program masters everyone would run the exact same team. H2h is already bad but it would be even worse when looking at lineup diversity. Obviously there are some guess who still have very expensive LTDs but if your not too picky and are patient many times you can pick up the LTDs for 400k so it means your basically paying 50k to use a card which to me is a great deal. I honestly dont mind LTDs I just wish EA would have been more consistent with timing for TVPs.
