I sadly have not got a chance to play those I have played since 16

1. More alert defenders and more knockouts that shouldn't be.
2. Quick sheds on thier DL
3. Easier time running the ball. You can tell right away that EA has nerfed your players ability to stop the run as your players dont shed. Theyre basically locked onto blocker. When you're pursuing with your user they nerf your speed.
4. You're defenders dumb-out. I had a clip of one of my outside CB in hard flat at the 5 yard line literally just run straight to the middle of the field after the snap. His RB was on a table route. What do you think happened? Wide open TD. Loss in the Super Bowl. I may have deleted the clip, but if not its hyst rical to watch.
5. Opponent gets more benefit of the doubt on bad reads and should be interceptions.
6. Your team can't run the ball.
7. WR runs bad/slow routes
Anyways, its always been this way, but this year they really kicked it up a notch.
I think I'll play on a seldom basis after Easter.
Other issues:
1. The season passes are bad.
2.
Rewards are bad.
3. There is no Weekend League.
4. Dollar defense stops the run against jumbo sets.
5. WR stops their routes randomly
6. WR running out of bounds while running their route
7. I personally dont care for the animations, especially the animations-basee pocket movement with your QB
8. Using the sprint button on offense attracks your opponents defenders to shed blocks. I dont understand EAs logic behind that. When a RB is carrying the ball its "see hole, explode (sprint) through hole"....but not in John Madden football.
9. Speed gets nerfed, whenever the game says so.
10. Animations are awful and need to go away. Why? Because it takes away user movement. User movement is a big part separating skill.
11. Hard to layer passes over linebackers. As I've mentioned before, the spacing and ball trajectory need to be revamped. Concepts like "stick" should be easier and spread out more to make them more effective, especially when EA has a limited pass rush block shed timer. Most say EA won't give you time to throw deep very often. Its true from my experience. Thats fine, because deep 1-play TDs rarely happen in real football. However, i believe shorter passing concepts should be given more room. To me, the field seems really condensed for these concepts to be effective. Stick, slant-flat, etc...
Lots of things wrong and lots of incompetence running the show. Unfortunately, its all the NFL has given the masses to play.
Beautifully written

No, sadly, its not. Target passing was in Madden 18. It was crap and no one used it then either.

This is not quite right. The class action suit was brought by plaintiffs alleging that DDA was used to motivate people to buy "loot boxes" (packs in sport games obv). It was dropped (so was never tested in court) but there is a difference and the idea they "couldn't prove anything" is wrong. In that suit, EA did say "the intention of this technology is to prevent players from becoming too bored or frustrated with the challenge a game presents in order to keep them playing." They did go on to state it was not present in any UT game however which makes you wonder why they said the first bit at all tbh.
Of course, DDA, as defined in that suit, does not need to be in UT. The 'dynamic' part could be removed and a game could be scripted from the beginning and just be 'DA' and, hey presto, EA's use of wording in that suit is correct. It would explain why Superbowls in particular, are always way more difficult than the preceding games and why it always seems to take 30 seconds plus to match a player. It would also explain that feeling that anyone other than a casual player gets in the first few plays of a game how that game is likely to go. A player who won all their Superbowls would eventually become as disengaged from the game as a player that couldn't win at all. In this respect EA's motivation could be framed as a desire to keep the game interesting - sports games, unlike any other variety, do not have an end, there are no boss levels and there is no feeling for players to have 'completed' the game. How else would they keep it interesting? The fact that people often resort to buying packs in the belief that the addition of just one more high OVR card will solve their problems is just a nice little by-product.
I've been playing MUT since M25, this one is def the worst.

Until I see actual proof I can’t buy into dda. It’s all hear say and people just coming up with reasons why they lose. The game is trash but it’s not because of dda. It’s because it’s a poorly designed game with tons of holes and glitches throughout the game.

lol the court? everybody knows the judicial system is all about which side has the most money smh
I personally think that Ultimate Team is the problem. I feel that the random abilities and stuff makes the game way more difficult. For example, I feel whenever I play MUT, I get destroyed because of all the X-Factors, where when I play just a quick match, I win almost every time. Idk but that's just me personally.

This is quite often my own assessment of the situation, although i have no proof or data to back this up. I don't think there's any question that this game is a buggy ass, inconsistent mess. Poor game balance/design is without a doubt part of the equation, oof. We all deserve so much better for the time, money and resources we pour into this disaster.
