Pretty much just the title. People got any experience with only KOs and no pick artist? Post AP update I wanna try it and I just wanna hear if anyone’s had any issues

Tried it for two games. It was painful. I advise against putting yourself through that.

Even if I rarely click on? I usually just let the KOs do their thing

Yep. I tried letting my players do their own thing and it was still painful.

I’m running just KOs on the outside and on my middle dropper.
my middle dropper has been alright, actually has caught a decent amount of tip passes and still attempting to catch the ball. Really happy.
where I’m struggling is on outside corner in cover 2, they just swat the ball like crazy on routine picks before the patch.
hasn’t hurt me since i had 19 wins in mut champ and currently 18-3 this week with the same setup. Clicking on is fine but letting them juat make plays is rough

Straight from the Madden devs.
Players are locked and abilities unlock them. It's like how linebackers need Lurker.
It's a pain but I run my D without Pick Artist. It's not worth the AP or the lack of a better ability.

This is what I was looking for. I’m rarely disappointed by swats and knockouts but dropped picks bother me. Same result ig lol

People say "just lock on and make the pick". Simple enough, right?
Well.....
If you don't unlock the ability to intercept the pass the player will start the animation for the swat or deflection that YOU CANNOT OVERRIDE.
Yes, you read that obnoxious all in caps part correctly. If you don't take control before they start their animations you're up the river without a paddle and if you're going to walk in that water the mud is really slimy and smells like poop when it bubbles up and know what kind of poop that is? Alligator. Know what they eat to poop that much? People without paddles who choose to walk in the water.

It reallly depends. Are people completing passes that are obvious KO’s with the ko or are you having trouble getting picks?

I mean I have all 6 AP spent in my DBs so I can have a KO and PA for all of them really

Yeah I don’t click on because of the bad animations. The alligator joke got me lol. You’ve mentioned you stream/post content, what’s the platform and tag?

Neither I have both abilities rn and the run is giving me a spot of trouble so I wanna know where to spend my AP

I tired that on my 99 Woodson and he would ONLY SWAT..had to sac an AP off someone just to add PA...
