Why does he keep fumbling? He fumbled back to back plays for me.
He has covers the ball trait as always but does have 92 carry which is a bit lower than the other top end backs. Could've just been fluky, I wouldn't give up on him because of that.

He fumbles like 0.8 times per game. From what I understand he is good on next gen but bad on current gen(Im on current gen).

That’s not *really* how it works. With such a small sample size, anybody who makes that claim has no idea what they are talking about
I have not had any issues on next gen so far. I do rotate my backs frequently with 3 hbs. He is like a bowling ball between the tackles. Where he makes bank is those flat routes where a CB tries to tackle him. No chance for those skinny dbs.

It's the same on next gen. There are threads and videos everywhere of him fumbling. He fatigues easily maybe..but cards don;t always play like the attributes, ratings, etc....some have code that makes them play a bit differently. They made Byars the best back in the game for power and receiving - on paper. This could be a way of evening it out

There is no more next-gen...... It's current and old. It has been over 2 years. SMH

Glad you are having that experience but .....
First game I used him, when I caught a route in the flat, first play of the game, Rod Woodson with only Deep route KO gave him a hit stick (even with Tank on him), knocked him down, and he fumbled.
In solos, even on All Madden, he's a beast. In h2h he's not the same..I played like 15 games with him yesterday (some House rules)

This wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if there was something coded into his card to make him more prone to fumbling over other HBs of similar overall. His ratings are damn near Golden ticket like with his combo of speed, power, agility, and receiving attributes. If he also never fumbled, no way would anyone use other HBs over him on god squads.
Personally, I haven't had any issues with him yet, but I have only played 3-4 games with him so it's been a small sample size so far.

There's so often stuff like that. It's why Parham's older card was such a beast but this new one isn't. It's the same with the free Deion. That Deion card does NOT play like normal Madden Deion cards; not even close.
There are cards like Sapp who always play better than their ratings.......there are YouTube vids, Reddit lists, etc of cards that perenially play better than their ratings. There is o much code that goes into these cards that can be changed - the RNG coding for example....so that's why some cards play better even if their ratings and abilities are the same......this might be the case with Byars and it might not be.

Ok guy lol.
Is Byars still worth picking up?
