I haven’t used a lb with low zone coverage yet because I feel he’d just be a liability in the pass game. Can anybody tell me if I’m wrong or not
No they don’t react in zone just let people pass them

It depends. From time to time i'll even ask my D-linemen to play some coverage, perhaps Bluff Blitz or even a Hard Flat -- and they have horrendous Zone Coverage stats. If you don't ask too terribly much of them, then it's fine in limited instances, or when you just have to drop 7-8 back into coverage.
However, the first goal (or threshold) to hit would be that magic 85 ZCV mark, but the real goal is to reach minimum 90 ZCV, then the game starts to change and Zones will actually cover areas of the field. It's hardly perfect, but closer to what we think professional (or simulated pro) football should be. If you have to choose, always take speed over coverage, but we're finally getting to a point where it's feasible to have numerous linebackers who hit both the 90 SPD and 90 ZCV marks. YMMV, but that's how i'm approaching things. Hopefully you were able to get Divine Diablo and/or Isaiah Simmons, who are both absolutely fantastic, FREE options.
Then of course, there's always big Fred. They just don't get any better than this. Took me a long ass time to finally build his set, but my goodness -- it's stupid how nice he moves around the field at 92 SPD and 92 COD, while also hitting that 90 ZCV threshold.
I don't like LBs with weak coverage stats and avoid them. Even a ROLB or LOLB will drop in coverage often against off meta 12 personnel players if you go matching personnel. And the ones with bad coverage get cooked often. LB is a position where I try to get the everything players if I can. Another option is to go dime or something where you can sub in safeties such as nickel 33 normal.
