If your talking about how to upgrade player with abilities then it's from training and you get that from quick selling a card.
If you talking about Team Captains then you play the challenges that have team captains card that upgrade your captain.
If something else your talking about then I am not sure. Hopefully this helps some.

Training I thought the other way before was winning challenges?
