Hey Madden Community,

We have an update for you regarding an issue with the Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes set redemption.

Issue:

• From 11:35 AM ET to 1:40 PM ET on 2/14, the 99 OVR Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes set allowed users to input Super Bowl LTD items mentioned below to complete the set. However, Super Bowl LTD items were not intended to be eligible.

Players who utilized the following Super Bowl LTD’s were affected:

• Russell Wilson
• Forrest Gregg
• Jalen Mills
• Rod Martin
• Marquez Valdes-Scantling
• Jalen Hurts
• James Bradberry IV
• Frank Clark

Makegood:

• Users who completed the Mahomes set utilizing any of the LTD’s above will receive full versions of the same LTD’s they used.

The makegood has begun to be sent out to affected users, please give the system up to 48 hours for it to be properly distributed prior to contacting EAHelp. Thank you!

The key to the tweet is "Allow up to 48 hours for these to go out"

LTDs are cheaper than the other 97s, this is nuts. Give a makegood for people who didn’t get a chance to save 600k+ by using LTDs lol

So, let me get this straight.  These people put LTD's in the set because they were FAR cheaper to purchase in the Auction House, knew they weren't getting them back, and didn't care, but are getting full versions of those LTD's ON TOP of the 3 regular 97's that they got back in the set originally.   This from the same company that gave "makerights" to the same group of folks that had already profited enormously from their mistake at Christmas.  I am not sure I have seen a company this inept before.

I bought a ton of ltds to use in the set because they were cheaper than the 97's.  I never expected to receive them back so this is a nice surprise.

Agreed same i had 2 LTD's that i used but i did not expect them back either but i sure wont complain.I just wanted to do the set at the time

There isn't a company like this because they would be out of business.  But when you have the only right to the NFLPA rosters and are the only ones who can legally make a NFL game, they can continue to make mistakes without a care in the world because we will still buy and play the game each year.

Yep, it's pretty pathetic.  People did this on purpose, and EA rewards them for it.  Just another reason why I don't spend any money on this game.

Pretty wild that they did this considering most people who put the LTDs into the set did so on purpose since they were cheaper than the set 97s lol. I’ll take the free coins, but what a strange decision.

Woah… so I put 3 Frank Clarks in, I got Mahomes and the pack and now I get my 3 cards back too? This is crazy
