They need to remove the minimum limit asap, I cant believe there is 37 other 98 overall minkah fitzpatrick at the same price as mine, this is the worst thing ever done by EA, and that says a lot….
Maybe, probably not, if we had 1 post that had a ton of replies, EA would listen. But when every person comes on here with a new post that gets a couple of replies, the topic gets lost. I completely agree with you on this but they really need to add a search feature in this forum so we don't have 10 posts on the same topic.
https://www.mut.gg/forums/forum/mut-discussion-10/topic/the-market-is-in-ruins-44946/ is one example but I have see a ton of others.
The price cap is not the issue, there is just no demand for these cards. Even if you drop the price cap, they will just plummit and lose value because no one wants to buy them. Ea needs to find a way to increase the demand, not lower the price. There's your basic economic lesson for the day.

Decreasing the price, in most cases, will increase demand, as no one can turn down a "deal". The law of demand states that when prices rise, demand will fall. When prices fall, demand will rise. That is your economic lesson for the day.
While I do agree they need to lower the cap, they also need to add something like TVP or increase the odds on the Mystery Packs to make people want to buy cards more.

I just disagree on the point that people who still going to want to buy these cards, unless the can essentially get them for free. I am able to still buy and flip the cards that are still in high demand constantly. Based on that experience, I really do believe that this is a demand issue, not a price cap issue.

I agree to a certain extent. I think the higher cards that are sitting at the cap, people would try if the price dropped and that would increase the demand. The cards that are 95 and lower, probably not as much demand as not many new people are joining the game at this point and most people who have had the game have overalls over 95. So, unless they bring back a TVP kind of training pack or a set that will utilize these lower overalls, they probably wouldn't sell with a cap drop alone.

I think that if the made a set to revamp the ltd/redux system, it would do wonders increasing the demand of cards.
For instance, I am player who wants to get an LTD/redux who is no longer in packs, lets say Kam Chancellor, you'll need to add 5 99's and 5 98's to a set to redeem said rare player. While this would also drop the absurd price of some of the cards in the game, it would increase the demand of some the less talented 98's-99's. And let's say you also pair this with a 98-99 ovr player set where in order to redeem a 98-99 player you have add 3 95's, 2 96's and 1 97, well now ea would have just increased the demand of the 95-97 ovr as well.
This is all they have to do have an effective market with a price cap, yet they refuse to do it.
The price cap is not the issue. I love the idea of a set to get hard to find LTD/Redux cards with low supply. The other thing they need to do to save the market is to add an attractive training offer. More than half of the mystery packs are dead programs. Give us something with UL, Golden Ticket or Redux odds and people will buy everything they can for lotto tickets.
By the way, if you list your card for the minimum buy now for 1 hour it should sell after a few tries. I was even able to unload my Peanut Tillman after a couple days of listing it that way with over 50 listed.

Price cap is the issue. It shouldn’t take weeks to sell a card because the price is locked. Used to be able to sell any card within an hour at the right price.
If they’re going to do this give the option to get coin or training for the quick sell.

Hahah right I was gonna say Deion sanders But same thing. The last time I pulled him and listed him the other day there were 137 others. At least they lowered it finally
Price cap is pure market manipulation and it literally forces you to sell your cards for TP's rather than coins on AH. Take a frigging economics class.

Right but now we are faced with selling our cards for next to nothing, or holding and hoping for a tvp or rookie premier reroll

Yeah that’s where I’ve been at with it since they had the minimum. I just do mystery packs. At this point in the year opening packs is one of the only fun things left to do. Even if theyre all trash 99.78% of the time

I’ve seen the results of people rolling millions of training on mystery packs and only pulling 96s as their best pulls. I’m gonna keep holding out.
