You absolutely can. They said an 81 ovr team. When those players got subbed in the team was no longer an 81 ovr. Whether you were able to do it or not has no bearing. The people that subbed in their higher ovr backups circumvented the system whether they want to admit it or not. Do I think you should be permanently banned? No but if this is the reason they banned all of the people I’m all for it. Just because it didn’t say you couldn’t do that doesn’t mean it’s okay. Like someone else said just cause everyone speeds doesnt mean it’s not still illegal

Imo you shouldn’t ban unless they had a competitive advantage. Anyone could sub a punter at QB so the event was fair. If ea wanted the teams to be salary cap there should have been an overall cap on players in the lineup or a limit on how many you could have. People who saw a puzzle and solved how to have the best lineup within it did nothing wrong, and I didn’t even play the game mode

Subbing in higher overall players gives you a competitive advantage when the other person doesn't do the same cowardly cheat too.

It's been really fun having to be methodical   and work my way down the field against an 87 overall Defense with my scrub team  just to watch them pause the game after the kickoff  to sub out their kickers and  sub in Vick/RG3 .  Then I get the distinct honorary pleasure  of watching them spam 4 Verts on repeat. 

Cheating in a video game is pathetic behavior and they should rightfully be permanently banned

Ive been playing mut since Madden 11 and I feel for new players going up against god squad with punter at QB and tackle at TE.

Cool. But everyone can do it so it's not an advantage for only a few people. If that's what they banned people for, that's fucking sad

I'm just wondering, why is it people just have to be banned on the spot rather than the issue patched in some way? This is a failure by EA to uphold the intent of waller mode, and I wouldn't exactly blame people for wanting to compete in it for potentially big rewards any way they could (especially with other people doing the same thing). No warning was issued that I was aware of either. Something like "Ok, we realize people can exploit this with subs, but if you do, you risk being banned". There is nothing fair about how this is being handled even if it is within their rights to do it, assuming the waller mode exploits were how people are getting banned. The timing does add up for that though. Again, business ethics and rights are not always the same things. Good brand names will make exceptions for customers screwing up a little bit. Ever had an exception go your way in spite of a mistake on your end? Yeah, it happens. And I wouldn't even call this a mistake on the customer's end in the first place. Again, the pressure to compete when others are doing it and no communication about how this was a potentially grave offense. And I personally interpreted this as working as intended, or else they wouldn't have limited golds, excluded silvers, and done nothing about elite cards. I barely tried waller mode but I interpreted this as potentially being exactly how it was intended to work.

Good post. All it takes is for EA to say "hey listen, don't do this or it will result in bans". Now, you have a warning and IF people still do it, the bans make sense and they are justified. Nobody knows what the fuck is going on at the moment
