I would second that opinion on Davis.  He plays great on my line, and is especially good on plays where he pulls.

I would also say… don’t grind for the new guy until Thursday, let that xp go towards the new season if possibl.

Honestly I'd rather see them fix the comp pass before even considering releasing a player.
