New Defense?

I’m not complaining just curious. Everyone is running some sort of man coverage with Linebackers instead of sub linebackers and it’s covering everything on the field? What is this new defense everyone is running all of a sudden.

With the new lurk artist ability, linebackers are usable again. Perhaps, they're even than safeties. If you haven't heard, lurk artist essentially gives LBs lurker so they jump like safeties and pick artist so they're more likely to catch the balls thrown at them for the grand total of 1 ap. I'd say it's easily the best 1 ap ability you can run on defense.

On top of that, Dave Robinson gets 90 man so he can play man better than a lot of safeties.

Can't say much about the scheme unfortunately. I don't watch a lot of streams or madden content so most of my knowledge of schemes/cheese plays comes from the forums and what I figure out on my own. But I hope I was helpful in explaining why normal LBs aee being used.
