Nightmare Matchup is probably the most underrated ability in the game. Anyone is a beast with it. Anyone that can equip it for 1ap is even more OP. The coolest part about that ability is that even though it says it's only against linebackers and defensive linemen, the game considers a lot of your average middle zones to be their job to cover, so it procs almost all the time. I find myself having massive success with it.

I thought in the past it would light up all the time but not actually work against non-LBs, so that has changed this year?

IDK man. All I know is when I have it equipped My receiver is always getting open and always catches the ball in traffic.

Yeah it still lights up all the time but it does seem like it’s actually working when it lights up.

I was running Julio for a while with it and it lit up a lot......but it's not worth 2-3 AP and no receivers above 93 OVR get it discounted other than Deebo and it's in the same bucket as 0 AP SIE. Very good ability but I don't think that it makes any card a beast.....but yeah it does light up more often than it should based on the description

I guess it all depends on what routes you run short in elite not only doesn't light up and function like it's supposed to on the r routes as but it only handles certain routes whereas nightmare matchup works all over the field

SIE is inconsistent but you have to understand it only works against man coverage. Matchup nightmare doesn't guarantee a catch.... my DBs have had it light up against them and still knocked the ball out or made the pick. It's a great ability but it's not a guarantee at all
