old gen no longer gets all xfactors???

first my shannon sharpe didnt get endzone threat for 0 Ap, now my bo jackson HB does not get angry runs….

wtf is going on?

have they discontinued xfactors and 0 AP on old gen or is this another dumb ass error by ea!????

Old gen doesn't get any of the new abilities/x-factors. It sucks but not all of these are errors. Not sure about the abilities that are on old gen though. I would think those could be 0 ap if discounted but I don't know EA's policy

Angry Runs, Lurk Artist, Colossus, Linchpin those are a few of the new this year abilities if it’s new this year EA did not code it for old gen system nor will they we it gets mentioned a lot but you got to notice it yourself I guess. They dont care about old gen at this point so we get empty buckets where current gen has the abilities and no work around like substituted abilities that work for us on the cards we are just not important enough for that. If you look at the different Auction House you notice why there is far fewer of us so often the LTD cards are rarer and more pricey too. If you get a current gen console like I did in November guess what you can’t transfer your team either you have to download the old console game and play it on the new one or start over. Thats life I am having fun anyway.

It's old gen, it's not that important anymore tbh

tbh, i wish they would just stop selling old gen. its kind of holding the game back

dont be surprised that old gen is slowly getting phased out it’s been half a decade since new gen consoles have come out

I mean that’s pretty common for a company to not put resources into old and obsolete technology

Agreed, and I got over the fact a while back, but I’m now trying to inform my fellow old gen players and people who at least started the year like me old gen and (can’t transfer the team that’s my issue at this point) about the fact that these abilities are missing from their older systems because there is a thread every time a player with one of these abilities drops hopefully that will end.

these other dudes aint  putting kids through college, buying gifts for grandkids, and taking care of the less fortunate daily, so they cant fathom a universe where an adult may not prioritize buying a new console.

EA sells Madden24 for old gen. Same price as new gen. Do they advertize it as Madden23+roster_update? 

No, they advertize it as Madden24. Yes if you research it and look at all the release notes and such you see that indeed, on old gen this game called Madden24 is not at all the same as the Madden24 that is sold for next-gen.  If EA is going to sell this game for oldgen without the new Xfactors and abilities, they should call it something else.  Maybe Madden24: "keep the servers on"

I get it, I upgraded this year because they announced College Football 25 was not going to be made for old gen systems and that was always my favorite before the O’Bannon lawsuit stole years of fun from my life. I do get tired of people acting self righteous that you are in the wrong for not being on the new system yet they seem to forget Covid happened soon after they dropped and Covid slowed people down in more ways than one. Story time I was working a high paying menial job in the height of Covid and a coworker asked me if I had been saving some money up to join his side hustle. He told me he found out were new systems that were hard to find at the time were coming and bought up to four in one go and sold them on EBay and related sites for twice the price or more.I told him no people who extort people that way like the people who buy up tickets to events to resell at crazy amounts deserve a circle of hell Dante style.That was rampant in my area until maybe 2022 you couldn’t get a new system for less than a grand off a second hand selling site.

the punchline is, PS6 is in development😳

i learned a lesson a few years ago buying a mac pro 8 core desktop (death star) with all the fixings, then 8 months later they announced the CURRENT mac pro with all new architecture.

if anything, i will wait for ps6 and just skip 5 at this point.
