Old generation abandoned

bogus as hell that we require current gen to play. If old is going to be abandoned I’d rather EA not make it an option. 
 

I love madden/NFL season 1 was good, but season 2 is unplayable. I invested time and real coin just be stranded. I‘m not so much mad at the packs I bought, but the time I spent I grinding annoys me. 

Screens and lineup taking 2 minutes to load EVERYTHING makes a 30-45 minute process to do basic task. Plus squads match making taking 10 minutes, which is likely due to limited people dealing with loading BS. Old gen is dead.

Believe me they know. They're laughing so hard to the bank right now. 

Reminds me of that Blair witch movie. It cost 30k to make and made 250 million back.

bro current gen came out before covid. Let the old gen die already.

Step 1: Take 2 weeks off from playing the game on old gen.

Step 2: Use time saved from Step 1 to work.

Step 3: Spend money  made from Step 2  to buy new gen.

Gotta move on to the new consoles man. That's how it goes

Your console is outdated by 3 years now. At some point everything becomes out of date and has to be upgraded. Definitely not an EA issue.

But it is an EA issue - your logic is flawed. While I agree a newer console is exactly that… newer & faster  giving people who didn’t purchase no room to complain that the current console is exactly that… BETTER.
 

The flaw is saying the old gen is 3 years old like saying if I have an older home and buy a product for it that is made for it or a newer home, but said company decided to abandon supporting it in an older home that I should just buy a new home.
 

EA is that said company, they put out & sold a product to just abandon it leaving it as is. 
 

It is obvious EA is clueless to a solution & just decided that what should be a simple fix is not worth their time… don’t act like they’d jump to fix the same issue had it been on a current console.
 

EA has lacked customer service for years. The only time they jump to fix anything is if it benefits the customer in the slightest way.
 

As a MODERATOR… you’d think you’d have had a better reply than to side with this garage company like they remotely care for anybody but their internal community & be more for the community - just saying!
 

To each’s own tho & for the record I’m not some NOOB to EA & MUT… probably been around longer than 95%+ of the people on this site as well as having more dealing with EA & this game to include developers & such!

Nobody sided with EA but it's not EA's fault that you're still playing old gen and it's not Legend's fault either. A thread like this is made 2-3 times a day and there comes a point where it's just time to upgrade.

So you're conflating issues. We're not talking about EA as a whole, or their customer service levels in any way. We're only talking about why they're not developing for consoles that were replaced 3 years ago. And being a moderator doesn't mean I'm not allowed to have an opinion. If you are as knowledgeable as you say, then you should understand that there is no longer a market need to develop for older gen consoles. And that you can't continue to support  development for the features of new gen, while trying to adapt that for old gen. You can still play older Maddens on your older console. They're not abandoning it. You just won't be able to play the latest version of it. If you want the latest and greatest, you have to upgrade. Should I be mad that my wife's iPhone 12 doesn't support crash detection? Does that mean Apple sucks? If she wants it, she needs to get a new phone. That's how it works. Getting mad at me isn't going to change chat. We won't even get into the next next gen consoles coming out, which are going to made old gen the old old gen boxes.

you knew this all well before the season began.  either quit or pony up some money to be relevant again lo

Agreed upgrading to current gen is the only solution. I was hoping to squeeze one more year on old gen.

 My issue is they sold the game for old gen, so it should work on old gen. I paid for this game and I’m not happy with the product.

I'm fairly certain there was a disclaimer prior to the game officially being live, stating that support to old gen would be limited. I would say the good lesson to learn that in any sort of technical field, the fact that something may be available for use on a newer system doesn't necessarily mean it's going to optimized or supported in a fashion that is anywhere close to more current products. Anyone playing Madden for more than a few years is familiar with how much of the staff moves to over to the new game months prior to it's release so the staff available to support anything with the older stuff is definitely limited.

Just looking at something like PC in M23, it was pretty obvious that old gen would be doomed. M23 was available on PC but it was a buggy mess that they did little to nothing to address all year long.

the game runs solid til the 2nd update. how is this not an EA issue?
